Trenton relies on defense to edge out their opponents

In a tight contest, Trenton handed a loss to Traverse City Central 4 - 3 at Kennedy Recreation Center on Saturday. Neither team managed to score in the first period. In the second period, both defenses let up some when Traverse City Central outscored Trenton three to two and took the lead. Traverse City Central was up three to two, but the final period would turn the tables on them. Trenton rallied in the final period with two unanswered goals, to grab the win.

Traverse City Central's Bill Vermetten stopped 33 shots to get the loss.

Trenton extended their winning streak to five games and ended the game with a perfect record of 5 wins and 0 losses. Traverse City Central finished the game with a record of 19-3.
