Dexter Loses To Chelsea 4-1

Mack Sullivan smashes two goals as Chelsea puts the squeeze on shooters to get the win

Chelsea defeated Dexter 4 - 1 on Wednesday. Chelsea racked up two straight goals to take the lead in the first period. Dexter failed to take the lead in the second period even though they scored one unanswered goal. Chelsea's defense shut down Dexter for the rest of the game. In the final period Chelsea scored two goals padding its lead and winning the game.

In the first period, coming through for Chelsea, Matt Walz got the puck in the goal with 8:42 left in the period. Connor Carry and Mack Sullivan got the assists on the goal. Chelsea never lost the lead after that. Chelsea kept up the heat when Jacob Ryan lit the lamp with assists from Chase Barnes and Eric Newman with 3:26 left in the period, to pull further ahead. In the second period, in response, Dexter's M Miller put the puck in the net with assists from Patrick Gronvall and Bryan Tuzinowski with 5:27 left on the clock. In the third period, answering back on the ice, Chelsea's Mack Sullivan scored a goal without any assistance with 6:44 left in the period, going further ahead. Continuing the roll, Sullivan again put the puck between the pipes another time with an assist from Jacob Ryan with 3:03 left on the clock, adding to their lead.

Having a good day, Mack Sullivan got two goals for Chelsea and also had one assist. Jacob Ryan made one goal for Chelsea and also had one point. Matt Walz contributed one goal for Chelsea. Newman, Carry, and Barnes each added one assist for Chelsea.

Showing a super performance, Chelsea's Charlie Miller made 21 saves for the win.

Chelsea was 3-for-7 on power plays.

Chelsea ended their streak of two losing games and now has a record of 16-7. Dexter finished the game with a record of 6-7.
