Cooper Macdonell drills a hat trick, Traverse City Central relies on defense to get the win

Traverse City Central got the better of Forest Hills Eastern 7 - 2 at Jolly Roger on Friday. Traverse City Central chalked up three goals to jump in to the lead in the first period. In the second period, Traverse City Central scored three goals to Forest Hills Eastern's two and kept the lead. The Traverse City Central defense took over in the final period. In the final period Traverse City Central scored one goal adding to their overall lead and winning the game.

Having an outstanding day for Traverse City Central, Cooper Macdonell got the hat trick with three goals and also had one helper. Traverse City Central's Jon Russell made two goals for Traverse City Central and also had one helper. Reily DeTar and Alex Oliver each added one goal for Traverse City Central.

Traverse City Central's Michael Wittersheim blocked 13 out of 15 shots on goal to get the win.

Forest Hills Eastern ended the game with a record of 1 win and 7 losses.
