Noah Brayton slaps two goals, Rockford strong on the ice to win the shutout

Shutting out their opponents, Rockford finished off Kenowa Hills 5 - zip at Griff's Ice House on Friday. Rockford scored one goal to jump in to the lead in the first period. Rockford added one goal in the second period and held on to its lead. Kenowa Hills's fate was sealed. In the final period Rockford scored three unanswered goals adding to their overall lead and winning the game.

Rockford's Noah Brayton netted two goals for Rockford and also had one point. Mark Cruickshank, David Sokol, and Cam Bathum each added one goal for Rockford.

Two goaltenders were in the crease for Rockford's win. Having a perfect day, Rockford's Todd Millar had 18 saves on 18 shots for the win. Turning in a perfect performance, Rockford's Jake Rekucki blocked nine out of nine shots on goal.

Contributing to their win, Rockford was 2-for-6 on power plays.

Rockford now has a record of 11-9. Kenowa Hills finished the game with a record of 2-7.
