Cooper Rice slaps two goals and Canton Chiefs allows few shots to get a big win

Winning by a large margin, Canton Chiefs beat Birmingham Unified 10 - 2 on Friday. Canton Chiefs racked up one goal to jump in to the lead in the first period. As the second period unfolded, Canton Chiefs outscored Birmingham Unified six to two and kept the lead. Birmingham Unified were not able to answer back. In the final period Canton Chiefs scored three goals improving its score and winning the game.

Canton Chiefs's Cooper Rice made two goals for Canton Chiefs. During the first period, Rice put the puck in the net. Matt Cox and Tommy Kiddle assisted on this goal. Rice scored a power play goal. Craig Allard and Matt Cox got the assists on this goal. In an excellent performance, Christian Flack netted two goals for Canton Chiefs as well as two helpers. Paving the way for Canton Chiefs, Flack scored a goal without any assistance in the second period. Flack lit the lamp with an assist from Brad Ceci. Tommy Kiddle, Mark Montante, Brad Ceci, Matt Cox, Craig Allard, and Ian Fagan each tallied one goal for Canton Chiefs.

Two goalies were in the crease for Canton Chiefs's win. Canton Chiefs's Isaac Salinas had seven saves to gain the win. Displaying a golden glove, Canton Chiefs's Jacob Dugan blocked four out of four shots on goal.

Canton Chiefs ended up with a record of 6-16. Birmingham Unified ended the game with a record of 10-9.
