Traverse City Central beat Mona Shores 4 - 1 at Lakeshore Ice Arena on Saturday. Neither team managed to get on the scoreboard in the first period. Traverse City Central gained two straight goals in the second period to break the tie and take the lead. In the last period, Traverse City Central outscored their opponents by one goal and kept the lead to win the game.

Showing off a strong stick, Jon Russell netted the hat trick with three goals and also had one assist. Nico Saco contributed one goal for Traverse City Central. Girard, Ludwig, Ward, and Macdonell each added one assist for Traverse City Central.

Having a huge impact in the game, Traverse City Central's Bill Vermetten turned away 27 shots to get the win.
