In a tight contest, Houghton was superior against Painesdale Jeffers 4 - 3 on Monday. Houghton outscored Painesdale Jeffers three to two to take the lead at the end of the first period. Painesdale Jeffers tied the score in the second period with one goal. The second period ended with both teams at three goals all. Houghton took the lead in the third period with one goal and won the game.

Houghton's Connor Hannon got two goals for Houghton. Davis Farrey and Jed Kallio each tallied one goal for Houghton.

Houghton's Marcus Gloss stopped 15 shots to gain the win.

Houghton ended up with a record of 19-5. Painesdale Jeffers finished the game with a record of 3-4.
