Troy Athens Prevails Over Bloomfield Hills United 6-1

Nathan Gurzell connects for two goals while Troy Athens excels at shooting to get a victory

Troy Athens won against Bloomfield Hills United 6 - 1 on Wednesday. Troy Athens scored two goals to take the lead in the first period. In the second period, Troy Athens outscored their opponents by one goal and kept the lead. Bloomfield Hills United were not able to answer back. In the final period Troy Athens scored two goals piling on and winning the game.

Troy Athens's Nathan Gurzell scored two goals for Troy Athens and also had one point. Coming through for Troy Athens, Gurzell put the puck between the pipes with 12:10 left in the second period. Brad Merola and Kyle Kosnak assisted on this goal. Then Gurzell put the biscuit into the net with 6:08 left in the third period. Brad Merola got the assist on this goal. In well played offense, Trevor Henson netted two goals for Troy Athens and also two points. Troy Athens's Henson got a goal with 15:57 left in the second period with assists from Nathan Gurzell and Brad Merola. With 4:30 left to play in the third period Henson put the biscuit over the goal line. Brad Merola assisted on this goal.

Showing off a strong glove, Troy Athens's Jeff Merola turned away 22 shots to get the win. Bloomfield Hills United's Nick Dingwall had only 30 saves on 36 shots on goal to get the loss.

Bloomfield Hills United finished the game with a record of 9-9.
