Escanaba Eskymos Outlasts Hancock 4-3 In Overtime

Levi Wunder shoots a goal while Escanaba Eskymos relies on defense to win in the end, grows win-streak to 9 games

In overtime, Escanaba Eskymos won against Hancock 4 - 3 at Wells Sports Complex on Saturday. Hancock outscored Escanaba Eskymos two to one to take the lead at the end of the first period. Neither team scored in the second period so Hancock maintained its lead. Hancock was on top two to one, but the final period would turn the tables on them. In the third period, the ice was finally broken when Escanaba Eskymos scored two goal to Hancock's 1 and tied for the lead sending the game into overtime. In the overtime, Escanaba Eskymos scored one unanswered goal nabbing the victory.

Levi Wunder, Derek Chaillier, Nick Vandermissen, and Jake Eastin each contributed one goal for Escanaba Eskymos.

Escanaba Eskymos's Nick LeMire stopped 27 shots to gain the win.

Escanaba Eskymos added to their current win streak of eight games and ended the game with a record of 19-3. Hancock finished the game with a record of 4-8.
