Keith Waldrup hits a goal, Berkley Unified clamps down to get the narrow win

Keith Waldrup scored the game winner with 15:46 left in the third period, as Berkley Unified won against Livonia Franklin 3 - 2 at Berkley Arena on Friday. Neither team scored in the first period. Both teams scored one goal in the second period and remained tied. The end of the second period saw both teams at one goal a piece. In the last period, Berkley Unified scored two goal to Livonia Franklin's 1 and took the lead to claim the late win.

In the second period, Livonia Franklin got things going on the ice when Livonia Franklin scored a power play goal. Berkley Unified fired back when Robby Flannery got the puck in the goal with assists from Gianni Bonello and Zach Segall with 5:08 left on the clock, bringing the score even. In the third period, next, Keith Waldrup netted an unassisted goal, with 15:46 left on the clock, to get ahead at 2-1. This sealed Berkley Unified's victory. Berkley Unified kept up the momentum when Zach Segall netted a goal with assists from Gianni Bonello and Keith Waldrup, with 7:20 left in the period, to go further ahead. Livonia Franklin fired back when Josh Dudek got the unassisted goal with 1:47 left on the clock.

Keith Waldrup scored one goal for Berkley Unified and also had one assist. Zach Segall scored one goal for Berkley Unified and also had one assist. Robby Flannery added one goal for Berkley Unified. Gianni Bonello got two points.

Leading the way for Berkley Unified, Stephen Wroe had 24 saves to gain the win.

Adding to their victory, Berkley Unified was 1-for-6 on power plays.

Livonia Franklin finished the game with a record of 1-9.
