Utica Eisenhower strong on the ice to prevail in a close game

Tyler Fletemier netted the game-winning goal with 13:52 left in the second period, as Utica Eisenhower won against Macomb Dakota 3 - 1 at Mt Clemens Arena on Wednesday. Neither team got the puck past the goalie in the first period. Utica Eisenhower took the lead in the second period with three goals. In the third period Macomb Dakota scored one goal but it was too little too late and they ended up with the loss.

In the second period, Utica Eisenhower put points on the board with their game when Tyler Fletemier scored an unassisted goal with 13:52 left in the period. This put Utica Eisenhower out in front for good. Steaming onward, Utica Eisenhower's Stino Biondo put the biscuit over the goal line without any assistance with 8:01 left on the clock, to move further ahead. In addition, Collin Cyr netted a goal with 3:08 left in the period. Ryan Jaros and Nikita Petrovskiy got the assists on the goal, to pull further ahead. In the third period, on the flip side, Macomb Dakota's Ronnie O'Connor put the puck in the net without assistance with 6:59 left on the clock.

Racking up saves in the box, Utica Eisenhower's Kenny Stralko blocked 34 out of 35 shots on goal to gain the win. Macomb Dakota's Anthony Benvenuti made 22 saves for the loss.

Utica Eisenhower ended up with a record of 21 wins and 4 losses. Macomb Dakota ended the game with a record of 21-6.
