Both defenses battled it out, but Rochester Stoney Creek handed a loss to L'Anse Creuse 2 - 1 at Macomb Suburban on Wednesday. Neither team managed to put points on the board in the first period. L'Anse Creuse took the lead in the second period with one consecutive goal. L'Anse Creuse was on top one to zero, if only they could hold on. Rochester Stoney Creek began their comeback with one goal in the third period to tie the score at one. Rochester Stoney Creek held on to win as both teams were scoreless in overtime.

In the third period, Rochester Stoney Creek put points on the board when Hayden Richardson scored a goal with an assist from Sean Rewold, with 11:44 left on the clock. Rochester Stoney Creek was in control from then on. Rochester Stoney Creek kept up the heat when Josh Niederhauser got a goal with assists from Sean Rewold and Grant Jubb with 5:19 left on the clock, to go further ahead.

Hayden Richardson and Josh Niederhauser each added one goal for Rochester Stoney Creek. Sean Rewold got two points. Jubb tallied one assist for Rochester Stoney Creek.

Racking up saves in the box, Rochester Stoney Creek's Maxx Grant turned away 16 shots to get the win.

Rochester Stoney Creek ended up with a record of 14-9. L'Anse Creuse ended the game with a record of 2-4.
