In a blowout game, Alpena won against Gaylord 7 - 1 at Alpena on Thursday. Alpena outscored Gaylord four to one to jump in to the lead at the end of the first period. Alpena added one goal in the second period and held on to its lead. Alpena's defense shut down Gaylord for the rest of the game. In the final period Alpena scored two goals cementing the lead and winning the game.

Alpena now has a record of 6-8. Gaylord finished the game with a record of 3-19.
