Defenses slugged it out, but Monroe St. Mary CC beat New Boston Huron 1 - zero at MMSC on Tuesday. Neither team got the puck past the goalie in the first period. The second period was also scoreless. Monroe St. Mary CC finally scored in the final period with one goal and won the game.

Displaying a golden glove, Monroe St. Mary CC's Derek Hughes stopped 24 out of 24 shots to take the win.

New Boston Huron ended the game with a record of 1-4.
