ROCHESTER – The Rochester Hills Stoney Creek Cougars pulled out a 2-1 victory over the Ann Arbor Pioneer Pioneers in boys ice hockey action Saturday night.
Trailing 1-0 heading into the third period, the Cougars tied the game 7:34 to play when Sean Rewold deflected Grant Jubb’s point shot, then got the game winner with 2:29 left when Alex Postlmayr jumped on a puck at the top of the right face off circle and fired a seeing eye shot through a crowd that snuck in the short side.
