WARREN-MOTT 6, TROY ATHENS 5 (OT): On a night when the temperatures outside were colder than those inside the Viking Arena in Hazel Park, the host Marauders stayed red hot.

Senior Shane Mackin scored the winning goal at 4:49 of the extra period. It was also Mackin who tied the game with just 17 seconds to play in the third period. He wound up with three goals and two assists for the Marauders (15-3).

Fellow senior Brandon Mezuk scored twice and added two assists. Tyler Combs also scored an added an assist.

Eric Rodgers had four assists. Also getting assists were Jake Combs, Luke Mackin and goalie Kevin Lalik. Lalik, who stopped 35 shots, raised his record to 7-1.

Warren-Mott welcomes Port Huron to the Viking Arena Saturday.
