When Coach Mitchell was looking at the GPA's of his team from 1st Semester, he thought he made a mistake.  He knew he had a dedicated group of student-athletes, but to honestly improve on last year's team GPA of 3.39 was a lofty goal.  So he calculated again.   Then one more time, this time asking each player to come up and verify their GPA.  And then he finally gave in and beleived it.  A 3.51 TEAM GPA!  

"I am so proud of these kids and their accomplishments on the ice, but we preach the student-athlete, the total package, the all-around person.  So for them to come through with a perfomance like this is just really, really special, it shows what types of individuals we have. This is a truly extrordinary group"
