Shutout win for Givens, Hancock

HANCOCK - Jacob Givens made all 16 saves for Hancock in a 4-0 shutout victory over Jeffers Tuesday at Houghton County Arena.

It took Hancock (12-6-3) a little while to get on the board, as Hunter Kero tipped in the game's first goal early in the second period. Brett Lepisto and Zach Ahola added tallies in the frame.

Wade Hanke tacked on an insurance goal in the third period.

Kyle Hauswirth picked up a playmaker for Hancock, while Matt Sanregret added a pair of assists.

The Bulldogs host Kingsford Friday night in a make-up game at home.

Jeffers, for which Dax Durocher made 29 saves, travels to Kingsford for a Thursday game.
