Players selected in all three divisions for statewide recognition

All-State honors were announced on Saturday, naming 12 forwards, six defensemen and three goalies to First-Team, Second-Team and Honorable Mentions in all three divisions.

Each member of the Michigan High School Hockey Coaches’ Association (MHSHCA) can submit as many as three forwards, two defensemen and one goalie from their team to be entered into the All-State voting process. This season, 98 MHSHCA coaches nominated 395 players, and from that pool, every coach could vote for as many as 12 forwards, six defensemen and three goalies from each division. At the conclusion of the voting process, the highest vote-getters earn First-Team, while the following group receives Second-Team and the next group receiving Honorable Mention.

The complete list of All-State honors from this season can be found HERE, including 12 players who won State Championships in 2018, a lot of first-time recipients, some named for a second time and a select few earning the honor for an unprecedented third time in their respective careers.

Further announcements for Dream Team selections and Mr. Hockey will come at a later date.
