Country Day alum the fourth MI-HS product to commit to Air Force

Last month, defenseman Connor McGinnis (Detroit Country Day, 2017) announced his commitment to join NCAA Air Force Academy for the 2019-20 season.

McGinnis is the second MI-HS alum to verbally commit to the Academy, joining defenseman Sam Brennan (Brighton, 2018) who is slated to join the following season.

In 2017,  two freshmen from Rochester United starred for the Falcons as Max Harper and Marshall Bowery made their NCAA debuts. With the additions of Brennan and now McGinnis in the past 12 months, this pipeline to Colorado is gaining steam.

McGinnis played last season in the NAHL for Minot, scoring two goals and nine points in 52 games during his first full year of junior hockey. He played three seasons with Country Day and was named captain his senior year, playing for Team Michigan in 2017 to close out his MI-HS career.
