Three-year Hancock forward Alex Nordstrom announced on Twitter Wednesday afternoon his intentions of joining the Michigan Tech hockey program. The 5-foot-11 forward opted to forego his senior year to play for the Grand Prairie Storm in the AJHL this season.

In three seasons at Hancock, Nordstrom totaled 91 goals and 170 points in 80 games, helping the Bulldogs to a Division-III state championship in 2016 and a return to the Final Four in 2018. Through his first 26 career games in Tier-II Junior hockey, the U.P. native has 10 goals and 23 points, ranking sixth on the Grand Prairie Storm in scoring.
