Reps, Trojans roll to big wins at Rick Deneweth Memorial Showcase

TRAVERSE CITY — Centre Ice Arena and the Traverse City Bay Reps are hosting the Rick Deneweth Memorial North/South Showcase this weekend with 24 teams from across the state.
This is the sixth North/South Showcase and the second in honor of Rick Deneweth, a long time ambassador for hockey in Traverse City and an instrumental part in the Bay Reps organization, who passed away in 2016.
The event is the largest in the showcase's history and included seven teams that are ranked in the top 15 in their respective divisions (Alpena, Grand Rapids Christian, Rochester United, Midland Dow, Woodhaven, Livonia Stevenson and Flint Powers Catholic).
Play started on Thursday with four games and will continue on Saturday with eight games starting at 9:45 a.m.
Friday was the largest day of the showcase, featuring 12 games that included the Bay Reps, TC Central and TC West.
