Third MI-HS Alum To Make Announcement In A Week

On Tuesday, Brett Abdelnour (University Liggett, 2016) announced his commitment to join U.S. Military Academy's Division-I program for the 2019-20 season.

The three-year letterman spent the last two seasons in the NAHL with the Amarillo Bulls after spending his first junior season in the EHL. Abdelnour becomes the third MI-HS alum in a week to make a verbal commitment to a Division-I program, joining C.J. Regula (Cranbrook, 2016) and Alex Frye (Orchard Lake St. Mary's,  2015) who both announced their decisions to attend Alaska-Anchorage and Ohio State University respectively, on January 31st.

In 71 career high school games, Abdelnour totaled 42 goals and 124 points for the Knights. Set to join Army next season, he will join fellow MI-HS alum and current NCAA freshman Colin Bilek (Brighton, 2015)  for head coach Brian Riley and the Black Knights.
