As the hockey season roars into 2022, two of the biggest events for the high school hockey community are approaching in a hurry.
It’s showcase season.
The MIHL Prep Hockey Showcase and the Michigan Public High School Hockey Showcase are just weeks away, as teams across Michigan and beyond prepare to invade Trenton and Chelsea.
The MPHSH Showcase takes place at the Arctic Coliseum in Chelsea, Mich., from Jan. 27-30, while the MIHL Showcase occurs from Feb. 3-5.
Forty teams are slated to compete in Chelsea, with the majority playing a pair of games across the four days of hockey. Forty-two teams will be skating in Trenton.
The Michigan Public High School Hockey Showcase began in 2011, while the MIHL Prep Hockey Showcase started in 2001.
