The 2012 Team Michigan team - led by Mackenzie MacEachern and Thomas Ebbing - celebrating their tournament title
This is a reminder to all high school juniors and seniors interested in trying out for Team Michigan this season that they need to register soon.
A Team Michigan junior team and a senior team are selected to represent Michigan high school hockey’s best at the NIT CCM Tournament in Minnesota at the end of April - a tremendous opportunity for players looking to play beyond high school.
New this year is a two-part tryout process. First, players will participate in a two-hour game in one of three different locations; players can select to participate in Grand Rapids (March 14), Gaylord (March 15) or Livonia (March 16). Any player wishing to play for Team Michigan must participate in one of those games. The tryout fee is $45.
Following those tryouts, select players will be invited to attend the Team Michigan Festival the weekend of Mar. 19-20 in Chelsea. The cost to participate in the festival is $85.
From there, players will be selected for Team Michigan. There will be a mini camp in Metro Detroit April 22-24 before the players depart for Minnesota.
More information and the registration link can be found here. Players must register for the initial tryouts by February 20.
Freshmen and sophomores looking for postseason opportunities are encouraged to participate in the MAHA Selection Camps - more information can be found here.
