JAGS Varsity Hockey – Boot Camp
The Allen Park Jaguar Varsity Hockey Team recently went on a trip to Gaylord Michigan for their 3rd annual Boot Camp. The trip started Friday immediately after school and lasted through Sunday night. A four hour long bus ride up to Gaylord flew by as team mates bonded and started creating a brotherhood. In this time the team began to grow and mold as a whole. When the Jags weren’t skating they were hanging out at the hotel playing video games and doing homework together. The team even made a visit to the local Buffalo Wild Wings where they enjoyed a team dinner before they made their way to the movies.
Overall the camp was a great success. The Coaches and returning players have a whole new attitude towards this year’s season and as a whole the team is excited and can’t wait to get on the ice.

JAGS Varsity Hockey - Tryouts
A young promising team was picked during the Allen Park Jaguars Varsity Hockey Tryouts the first week of November. With a smaller bench than previous seasons, the Jags are looking to be more competitive and allot more focused this season. The Coaches were faced with a difficult decision as tryouts rolled around by only taking a bench of 18 skaters and 2 goalies. The roster consists of 2 seniors; Alec Keck and Chris Sisco. Alec was selected as the Jaguars Captain, and Chris Sisco followed up with the Assistant Captain spot. After the Seniors the coaches selected a heavy load of Juniors. Returning Junior Nikolas Francis was also selected as one of the teams Assistant Captains. The other returners include Mike Szalai, Bobby Salerno, and Sean Stephens. The New Juniors Include Brad Davis, Dominic Keck, Brendan Alvis, Dominic Czajka, Ryan Compean, Mathew Brooks, Cameron Johns and Noah Kudla.
